My experience with environmental issues and sustainability comes first-hand. I graduated with a degree in Environmental Science, where I was avid in pursuing knowledge about how our environment could be stewarded with both people and the health of the ecosystem in mind. Once I graduated, I worked at the Botanical Research Institute of Texas, restoring a section of their headquarters in downtown Fort Worth, TX to native tallgrass prairie.
I now live in Homer, Alaska co-running Blood Sweat & Food Farms, a farm dedicated to pasture-raised pork and poultry. I believe in a living a sustainable lifestyle and want to empower others to do the same. I have experience in everything from alternative energy systems to growing your own meat and produce.
